Aamir Khan Nephew Imran Khan: Bollywood is such a place where one cannot say when whose star will rise and when it will fall on the floor. There are many such examples when the debut of an actor was so successful that people started talking about him that he will become a superstar one day. But, after that he got lost somewhere.
Let’s talk about one such actor, whose first film came out as soon as people started comparing him with Ranbir Kapoor. The film not only did wonders at the box office but even today it has a place in people’s hearts. But after that the career graph of that actor started falling. We are talking about Imran Khan.
‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’ made her an overnight star
The 2008 film ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’ still rules the hearts of the youth. People remember every song and character of this film. ‘Aditi Hans De Tu Zara’, ‘Pappu Can’t Dance’ and the title song are still heard playing. This film was produced by Aamir Khan and he launched his nephew Imran Khan as the lead. Imran’s magic in Mama Aamir’s film was such that the film, made for just Rs 10 crore, did a business of Rs 84 crore. Apart from this, Imran also received the Best Debutant Award for the film.
Imran got many films but then the magic did not work
Imran Khan got a chance to work in many big films. After Kidnap, Luck, I Hate Love Stories, Ek Main Aur Ek Tu, Matru Ki Bijli Ka Mandola and Break, many films came one after the other but all were flops. Whereas in many of these films he had the support of stars like Sanjay Dutt, Sonam Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor. Despite being in the choice of directors like Vishal Bhardwaj and Karan Johar, this star’s star did not shine.
Only two more films remained hits, but
After the super-duper hit of the first film, two more films of Imran Khan were hits. His ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’ and once again his maternal uncle’s film ‘Daily Belly’ did wonders at the box office. But, Imran Khan did not get much benefit from these two films. While in ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’ Katrina and Ali Zafar took the entire limelight, in ‘Daily Belly’ the entire credit for the film’s music, story, Veer Das and Kunal Roy Kapur had to be shared by Imran Khan along with Vijayraj.
After this, Emraan’s 3 films came in 2013, which did not do wonders. After a break of 2 years, he returned again in 2015 with Katti-Batti but this film also remained a flop. However, if reports are to be believed Imran Khan Can make a comeback soon. He had also started giving hints about this on social media in 2023 itself.
